The entire premise of 'The Take' was to set up a large, exaggerated reaction from one of the characters in the scene. I approached this project by having a maximum of 3 characters to work with. They consisted of a bubbly, happy clown, a tall, grumpy flower and a devious, star-shaped figure in the Jack-in-the-box. The clown would be the one to perform the take exaggeration, when reacting to the box opening.
